With the weather cooling down just a bit, high 60s low 70s, we took our Wednesday outing to the hills. There are tons of trails and open land throughout San Diego that I want to explore.
Elfin Forest is west of the 15 and south of the 78. I drive by it all the time and never knew it was there! Samantha and Dustin joined Kaylee and I on a 1-mile uphill hike to a view point that overlooked north county towards the 78. Then we hiked back down and crossed the Escondido Creek by navigating a rock bridge. Kaylee wanted to climb the rocks herself, so I let her out of the backpack and she wanted to go wherever Auntie Sam went.
There are several miles of trails that lead to better view points. We will definitely be returning to Elfin Forest.
