Weekend Fun

What a great weekend we had! Saturday started (for me, Curtis walks Baylee during the week) with a predawn, pre-awake walk with Baylee. The full moon was beautiful sitting in the western purple sky. I went to work 3 clients, and then back home for Baylee's weekly bath, which ended up in a autumn backyard pool party for Kaylee and Baylee. After cleaning up the backyard a bit, we then got ourselves ready for Mt. Olive's Harvest Festival. It is the yearly fundraising activity for Kaylee's preschool (what my awesome purple cake and cookies were for). Kaylee had a great time, once she warmed up to it. She told us she was nervous. Kaylee got her face painted
played carnival games
, did a cake walk
, rode a pony
, and did the jumpy slide over and over again. It was fun to watch her interact with her friends. We even won something in the raffle, a tee-shirt! We didn't win a cake in the cake walk, but we made one when we got home that night.

And today, we had friends over to watch football. Curtis watched with his friends. Kaylee played with Kamila. Baylee behaved and got to eat hamburger meat.  And I was left on my own to clean Kaylee's room and the loft. It was GREAT! I hope they come over next Sunday, maybe I'll get my room organized and clean. And Kaylee was so tired she fell asleep during Baylee's night walk, at 7pm! A weekend miracle! Here is to a Great week! (Letter of the week is G, I need some better words than "great").
