Disneyland!

Thank you Great-Grandparents for our Disneyland passes. It was a fun first trip for Kaylee, but I am more excited about our return trips because now we have a better feel for how to best work Disneyland.

Disneyland is crazy! Of course we went on a day that everyone else in Southern California went due to the holiday. We went to buy our passes and dummy here forgot her ID in the car (need it for So.Cal passes). Thankfully the attendant used Curtis's and believed that I was his wife and that I really did live in So.Cal. The attendant also suggested that we add the free parking on Kaylee's pass, since the person with parking has to be in the car, therefore whoever takes Kaylee to Disneyland would have free parking. So that works well.

Our first thing was the train ride around the park. Turns out it has stops that you can get off at throughout the park. We got off on the opposite end of the park, Toontown. Here Kaylee rode her first biggish roller coaster.
She loved it! During the ride her smile was huge, her eyes were wide open, and her arms were in the air.
We continued to explore and weave our way through the masses. We waited in this huge line that went through a house and farm studio, to meet none other than Mickey Mouse. When we finally meet him Kaylee was practically quivering with excitement. I couldn't see her face (a group of 10 or so go into a "studio" at a time, so we are squeezed in), but her leg was moving like she wanted to jump around but couldn't. We got a picture of her and all of us with Mickey.
And this was her favorite part.

We eventually worked our way back towards the exit. We snacked, waiting in lines for a merry go round and Dumbo ride. By then we were all tired. The weather was warm, there were lots of people, lots of waiting, and Kaylee is fighting the sniffles. As we head towards the exit we notice people lining up for the parade. We thought maybe of was a hour away, turned out it was in 10 minutes. So we got a spot. Curtis went to get our stroller and snacks. Twenty-five minutes later the parade starts, but it was definitely a favorite of Kaylee's. Before the parade began we were guessing who we'd see. Kaylee wanted to see Peter Pan. I thought that was a long shot. But here he is!

We didn't get a lot of pictures, my phone was not cooperating. But it was a lot of fun. I do look forward to our middle of the week trips so we can explore everything. There is so much to look at and experience. We only saw Toontown, Fantasyland, and Main Street. There are several other lands to explore along with the whole new Disney California Adventure.

Ready for bed!
