Completely weaned, 100%

September 15th, our official last morning nurse.  I actually took a picture, a very blurry picture, because I had this feeling that the end of bf was near.  How right I was!  It was a decent transition from breast to sippy cup, with some resistance from Kaylee.  And it wasn't too emotional on my part. The secret was patience.  I just let her fuss, fight, and express her displeasure all while holding her.  And each night it got easier and easier.  All in all, it was the right time.  Now our night-time routine goes a little smoother, and Kaylee is getting better at falling asleep.  The most difficult part for me were the mornings.  No longer was I able to nurse her back to sleep, now I had to get up! And unfortunately she was still be tired, but not tired enough to stay asleep.  So it ends up being a sleep deprived momma with a cranky baby ... not a good combo.  But again, with time Kaylee stayed asleep until she was really ready to be awake.  And now our mornings, although still early, are manageable.

Just another milestone crossed ... Kaylee is growing up!
