And an amazing 19-months it has been. Let's see, what is new ... her new words are:
~ cookie
~ Pop, for Papa
~ book
~ Me
~ eye
~ dark
~ truck
~ sit
~ kick
~ vac, for vacuum
~ sit
~ kick
~ vac, for vacuum
~ "A"
~ "X"
~ "O"
~ "S"
~ "B"
~ She sings, although we can't understand any of the words
~ She still loves to dance, and now she'll make her stuffed animals dance.
~ She "washes" her hair during her bath.
~ She says "sit" and slaps the ground next to her indicating she wants you to sit right there.

~ Anything that reminds her of Curtis she'll say "Dad" when she sees it. So she'll say "Dad" when she sees a red coke can, a black truck, gray sweatshirt, watch, candy, and his glasses.
~ Does NOT like inanimate objects that are made to look human
Babies Can Read progress ~
So I would have to say that the "Babies Can Read" program works. Here are the words that she can read and say: cat, dog, kick, eyes, and book.
These words she can "read" and perform or show or sign: nose, clap, elephant, mouth, tiger (she growls), toes, wave, smiling, head, and monkey.
Sign Language ~
I haven't introduced any new signs to her lately. Mostly because I haven't learned any new signs or made a conscious effort to apply any new signs to our activities. And I have been more focused on helping her learn sounds and say words. But I don't want to stop using signs, it would be fun to communicate with her throughout her life with sign.

Christmas ~
Kaylee had an incredible Christmas, thanks to her loving family. She started the day by sleeping in till noon, and she still has 2 more presents to open. I know that someday she will be waking up at the crack of dawn for Christmas presents and will have every gift open before 8am, so I will enjoy this time. An interesting thing occurred to me this year. I really wanted more of a religious tone, you know the real reason for the season type of stuff. Another issue I had was the whole Santa thing. I started to doubt my desire for her to believe in Santa ... I told Curtis that I don't think I want some figure to take the credit for our big and exciting gifts for her. But then again, we don't want her to be the only kid in school not believing in Santa. And it certainly doesn't help that Kaylee doesn't want anything to do with Santa. She hid in my neck every time we walked by Santa at the mall. Maybe she thought she was bad this year? Just kidding.

Well we love you all. Just 5 more months until Kaylee is 2!!!
