Today's school work

Since I have started to babysit the Williams kids 4 days a week, our "preschool" activities have been minimal. But today, Thursday, is our official day off. The past few Thursdays have been spent doing outings with friends, but today was designated housework and "preschool" work day.

We started the day at the library and participated in storytime yoga. Then we read random books and played on the alphabet rug that is in the children's section of the library. Afterwards I went in search of adult books, books that are not 2 inches thick with only 10 pages. However, Kaylee was not in the library mood any more. So I didn't get any adult books.

We returned home and I decided we needed alone time. So Kaylee played in her room with her Calico Critters and I played a hidden objects game on Facebook & printed out a ton of activities for Kaylee. And the picture above is one of those activities.

Kaylee did a great job coloring. She tries to control her crayon and stay within the lines. Then I cut out he individual numbers and Kaylee used a glue stick to arrange the numbers in the correct order (they are out of order when she colors). And she did a great job (of course). We will continue on up to 30 later on in the day. Right now, as I compose this email, it is snack time and outside time.
