Boot Camp P.I.R

Our trip to Chicago in June was successful. We spent quality time with Jonathan, experienced riding the Metra into downtown Chicago, witnessed how appreciative people are of those serving in the military, and got to hang out in the airport and watch Jonathan depart to his next adventure, A school in South Carolina. It was an emotionally exhausting trip, but well worth it.

Kaylee was excited to see Uncle Jonny, but she didn't quite like the idea of not being able to play with him when he was in his whites or have his individual attention like she is used to. The second day we spent with Jonathan, the day spent in the airport, was better. Kaylee got to play with her Uncle without worry of dirt on the uniform.

Now Kaylee is looking forward to Christmas when Uncle Jonny comes home. So according to Kaylee, Uncle Jonny's home is in San Diego and she wants him to wear his regular clothes, his blue shirt.
Waiting for graduation to begin.

There he is, the one in white.

Graduation is exciting.

Finally! We get to play.

Picture by Kaylee while I was taking pictures.

Fell asleep on the Metra on the ride back to base. She didn't wake up at all. Even when I ran to the car because Jonathan had minutes before his liberty was up. She slept until 7am the next day.

Good-bye Uncle Jonny!

Home!

There are more pictures on the other camera. Eventually I'll post them.
