So Kaylee is actually 10 1/2 months now ... I've been neglecting my blog.
Kaylee is a very quick crawler, proficient cruiser, and can briefly stand free of assistance. She loves to chase the cats, rearrange the dining room chairs, and remove the contents of drawers, laundry baskets, and my purse. She can easily ascend our stairs, and can safely navigate down. It took many, many times of us showing her how to go backwards down the stairs. The next big physical skill milestone are those first steps ... and we've had a few maybe's. While we were in Salinas Kaylee did a couple side steps without hanging on to anything. And yesterday (tax day), Kaylee moved from me to the couch without holding on, which took 2 step-like movements. But she has yet to repeat that, and whenever we think she's going to do it, she plops down on her butt and crawls.
Kaylee is very vocal. We've concluded that "at" is her way to say "cat". She only uses that sound when searching out the cat or when she sees them. Whereas mama, dada, and any other baby babble sounds are used indiscriminately.
Kaylee now begins to dance whenever she hears music. It is the cutest thing! We'll post a video as soon as possible.
She's mastered the sippy cup. And whenever you say "water" and after she takes a drink, Kaylee will go "ahh". Like it was so refreshing.
Let's see what else ...
- size 3 diapers
- 17 lbs, not sure how tall ...
- petite size, can still wear some 6-9 month clothes
- waves hi and bye
- has 6 teeth, 4 on top, 2 on bottom
Better post this before she is 11-months!
4 of the 6 teeth
