Our trips back to Salinas are nice, but we are always happy to return home. Our most recent trip to Salinas included a party for Kaylee, brunch at First Awakening, a trip to the salon for a new haircut, Fosters Freeze and a short trip to our favorite park (because it was freezing), lunch with my Grandparents and Great-Uncle, and a short glimpse into the daily life of my BFF.
This trip was Kaylee's first extended road trip, and it was a bit challenging. We left at 10 o'clock at night with the hope that she would sleep through the whole trip ... Kaylee didn't get that memo. She helped Curtis stay awake by crying from 1 am - 2 am. We would have stopped but we were in the middle of no where, between Santa Barbara and Santa Maria. The interesting thing is on our way back to San Diego, Kaylee woke up while we were on that same stretch of highway. So the drives took about 7 hours each way, not bad for having to stop for gas, food, and take care of the baby.
Here are some pics of our time in Salinas. If Curtis has his way, it was our last trip to Salinas.
