Finally, we got Kaylee to the dentist!
Last week Kaylee joined me for my 6-month cleaning. She did great sitting on a chair next to me playing on stuff I brought in. Kaylee met the dentist and she thought the dentist's glasses were, "Awesome!". And Kaylee got to pick a toy just for being there for my appointment. Well, I decided we might as well go with this positive momentum and schedule Kaylee's first appointment.
A week later we were back in the dental office. Kaylee admitted that she was a little scared. I told her that was okay but that she was brave and I was right there with her. When we were called Kaylee insisted that I sit on the chair and she sat in my lap. We both got the dental bibs. Kaylee informed the hygienist that she wasn't a baby that wears a bib. Kaylee picked out grape flavored whatever they use to clean teeth with. Kaylee felt the tools on her hand first and then totally cooperated during the quick cleaning. Kaylee experienced the polish brush, suction and water, and floss. Kaylee laughed when the suction was used. After the cleaning the dentist came in and counted her teeth and gave us the good news that she sees no cavities and her teeth are perfectly spaced. Of course who know what will happen when her adult teeth come in. Kaylee and the hygienist went to pick out a toy from the toy wall. And we scheduled her next appointment in 6-months.
